OBITUARY

Terri Lynn Whittemore Simms

December 18, 1970September 6, 2020

Mrs. Terri Lynn Whittemore Simms, age 49, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at her home. Terri is survived by her husband, David Simms; daughter, Katherine Hampton and her unborn son,Karter Terri Boupharath; mother, Carolyn Bly and her husband Jessie; father, Dennis Whittemore and his wife Betty; brothers, Dennis Whittemore and his wife Angie and Keith Whittemore; nieces, Brittany Whittemore and Makenzi Whittemore; nephews, Austin Whittemore, Hunter Whittemore, and Colton Whittemore. Terri is loved by so many friends and family. She never met a stranger. Anyone that met her was in love with her infectious smile and her positivity. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need and wouldn’t think twice doing so. Terri was the life of the party. She always knew the right things to say. In the short lifetime she lived, she was known as the animal lover. She spent her time attending to her goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and any other animal that wanted to show up at her house- it didn’t matter if it was a vicious raccoon, she’d make friends with it. There was not a time where she wasn’t doing something around her little farm, as what she called it. As many of her friends and family know, Terri was the karaoke queen (as much as she loved her ketchup on everything). She loved to sing. She would blare music in her car and sing her heart out. There were many times that radio would be all the way up driving to Florida! Not to mention, she loved the beach. Any time she could go down to Florida to stay at the beach everyday all day, she was there! Even though Terri Lynn is physically gone out of our lives, she is all around each and every one of us in spirit. On earth, her first instinct was to watch over people she knew or met, and make sure everyone felt so loved in their life. Knowing she is that type of woman, there is no doubt in mind that she is doing that exact same thing above us. She will be very missed. Services to celebrate Terri will be at 2:30pm Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Roselawn Funeral Home with placement to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. I just received the news of Terri. I am so sad and heartbroken. I met her in 1991 win I moved to Milner Court. We were neighbors and became good friends. She was always so sweet and caring and the best neighbor. We did a lot of laughing and went to Jazzercise together and would come home and sit in the driveway and talk forever. She moved to another home in the neighborhood when she was expecting Katherine. She loved her so much and was the best Mom. We lost track of each other for a while and found each other again. She loved her animals and taking care of all of them. I could see how happy she was and how excited she was to be a grandmother. She was beautiful inside and out. I would like to know what happened to her. I will miss her dearly. I am so sorry for your loss.

Terri and I grew up a street away from eachotherin Florida, went to the same schools. We just were blended in to eachothers family's! So sad to see this life taken so soon, yet she is a child of God and believed God calls us home on his time not ours. She will be missed by those left here on earth, but heaven has gained a great hospitable young woman. RIP my dear friend

Terri and I were a lot alike in many ways both married into the same family both had one child which we both cherished more than life itself. Both remained close to this family after divorce. I know she was loved by the Hamptons as I am. God has a beautiful Angel. Rest In Peace

One of my favorite memories was when Terri was living in Kissimmee and Robert and I went down for a trip and we spent the weekend getting to know her friends down there. She took us to some of the local spots and of course sang karaoke. She had the most beautiful voice and I loved listening to her sing. We had a blast that weekend and I will never forget it!

First time I have ever met Terri and Katherine they were so nice Terri greeted me with a big hug and hey girl I’m Terri and this is my daughter Kat ever since then I could always call Terri and be like girllll I got something to tell you and she would reply oh lord go ahead girl. She would crack me up every time we talked. She could put a smile on ur face no matter what happens she could be madder then a hornet and smile at the end of the day. We would sit in their shed and sit by her stove and it would cook us out of their. They would fix smoked baloney and Terri would say girl grab u some take some home. I will forever miss her
