William Scott "Bill" Chance

William Scott (Bill) Chance, age 88, of Smyrna, passed away on Thursday evening, July 20, 2017. Dr. Chance was the son of the late Harold Britt Chance and Martha Shanks Chance of Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Chance-Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Flynn Chance; children, Roy E. and Sherry Chance, Tina Chance Astarita and Glenn, Matthew and Terri Chance, Cindy Sparks, Sharon and Rick McCulley, Vickie Sparks, Mike and Felecia Sparks and Phillip Sparks; and twin sister, Jean and Alfred Fazio of Louisville, KY; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Dr. Chance was a former member of Springhouse Worship and Arts Center and a current member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was the manager of the original Walgreen’s Pharmacy of Nashville in Green Hills and also Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Hickory Hollow. He was director of and investigator for the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. He also worked at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro and volunteered at numerous pharmacies across Middle Tennessee. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
