William G. Orr, age 89, of Lavergne, passed away on Thursday evening, September 1, 2016. Mr. Orr was the son of the late John and Maggie Darnell Orr. He is survived by his wife, Betty F. Orr; son, Roger D. Orr; daughters, Janie (Larry) Dunnivant and Nancy (Glenn) Thacker; sister, Dorothy McCall; grandchildren, Wendy, Megan, David, Tracie and Amber; great grandchildren, Malik, Amaya, Mia, Bella, Mason, Kaiba, Carter, Harper, Stevi, Dylan, Gabby and Beckham. Graveside services to celebrate Mr. Orr will be at 3:00pm Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Orr was a WWII Navy veteran and supervisor for the State of Tennessee.
