Willie Dee Sexton Jr.

Willie D. Sexton, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on May 25, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee, Willie lived a life marked by service, devotion, and love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later in the National Guard, carrying with him the values of courage, integrity, and commitment throughout his life.

Willie was a devoted husband to Lois, his first love and the person he would always love. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.

He was a steady source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement to his children and took great pride in his family. Known affectionately as “Two-pop” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Willie treasured time spent with them and leaves behind memories that will be cherished for generations.

Willie also had a lifelong love of motor sports. Alongside his brothers and son, he helped create a go-kart racing tradition that became one of his greatest passions. And Amazon…

He is survived by his first love, Lois Sexton; his children: Sandra Annette Davis (Ricky), Michael Wayne Sexton (Yvonne, his daughter-in-love), and Catherine Carol Sexton; stepchildren: Penny Tomlinson, Suzanne Meadows and Jeff Langford; his grandchildren: Michael Warren Page, Troy Norwood Jr. (Brooklynne), Brittany May Blaylock (Clayton), Dustin Allen Davis (Cassy), Olivia Faith Sexton (Tanner, fiancé), and Noah Avery Sexton (Kelsey); his great-grandchildren: Harper Faith Blaylock, Wrenley Jane Blaylock, Ember Lane Blaylock, Sloan Cash Sexton, Elliott James Sexton; Amelia Norwood, Archie Norwood, and Cooper Allen Davis; and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

He was preceded in death by wife, Mildred Garrison Sexton; mother, Ethel Sexton; father, Willie D. Sexton, Sr.; sisters: Francis Sexton Reitz and Peggy Sexton Taylor, brothers: Jackie Sexton, Larry Sexton and Jerry Sexton.

A service celebrating his life will be held on August 10, 2026 at 12:00 to 1:00 PM visitation; service at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Reception to follow. Military honors will be rendered in recognition of his faithful service to our nation.

Willie will be remembered for his strong character, generous heart, quiet humility, and deep love for his family. His legacy of service, loyalty, and devotion will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
