In 1956, Alma moved to California, where she completed her education at Jefferson High School. She later married Billy Ray Myers, who preceded her in death.
Alma was a dedicated and hardworking woman who worked for more than 40 years with Laidlaw Bus Transportation until her retirement. She was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to those around her.
Alma accepted Christ at an early age and loved the Lord deeply. She was a faithful member of Beracah Faith Ministries International Church in Temecula, California. Her faith was an important part of her life and was reflected in the way she cared for and served others.
Alma was known as a sacrificial and giving woman who would help anyone she possibly could. She was a true giver, always thoughtful and often placing the needs of others before her own. Her kindness, generosity, and loving heart touched the lives of many.
She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her family and friends will always cherish the memory of her beautiful smile and allow its warmth to remain in their hearts.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Myers; and her beloved sons, Christopher Myers, Robin Myers, and Billy Myers.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving son, David Myers; her daughters, Teresa Schaffer and Yolanda Myers; and her sisters, Catherine (Lean) Griffin, Diane McElroy, and Patricia Cooper; her brothers, Keith Underwood and Pastor Bobby Myers; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Alma's legacy of love, generosity, faith, and selflessness will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those whose lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain a source of comfort, strength, and love.
Her smile will remain in our hearts, and her love will live with us forever.
