Betty A. England, 88, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on December 31, 2025. A woman of remarkable strength and faith, she was the beloved wife of the late Delbert England, originally of Centralia, Missouri.
Born on April 11, 1937, Betty was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rushton. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Rushton, Dicky Rushton, and Bill Rushton, and by her three children, Michael England, Vince England, and Deborah Woodie.
She was a dedicated partner to Delbert, supporting him as members of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). Together, they traveled to Bangladesh, where they were instrumental in the pioneering effort to bring electricity to rural areas. Their work transformed countless lives and remains a legacy of their shared commitment to humanitarian progress.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Andre Foley, and her six cherished grandchildren: Keyen Foley, Kaylen Woodie, Meghan England, Haley Vieth, Jenna England, and Tanya Steggall-Newberry.
Betty will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her contributions to the support of her husband, and her enduring love for her family.

Family and friends are invited to honor Betty’s life. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Delbert, at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery, Alabama.
