Gregory Charles Robertson

December 13, 1952 – June 25, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Gregory Charles Robertson, Also known as “Greg”, who passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born in Oregon on December 13, 1952, Greg lived a life defined by honor, service, and unconditional love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a distinguished career as a correctional officer with Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, where he faithfully served for more than 23 years until his retirement. He was admired for his integrity, dedication, and strong work ethic.

While Greg dedicated much of his life to serving others, his greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother and a loyal friend. His quiet strength, generous heart, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Outside of work, Greg enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. Sundays during football season were reserved for cheering on his beloved Chargers, and anyone who knew him knew how much he loved watching the games. Music was another great passion of his. Whether relaxing at home or spending time with family, Greg could often be heard asking, “Alexa, play…” followed by one of his favorite songs. Those familiar words became a part of the soundtrack of his life and will forever bring smiles to those who loved him.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Myrna Robertson; his son, Andy Robertson, and daughter-in-law, Liz Robertson; and Myrna’s children, Gypse Cantwell (Partner, Jaime Tina, and Son, Joseph Cantwell), Christopher Petersen (Son, Elijah Petersen), Mary McAtee (Children: Cassandra, Matthew, Joshua, Serenity, Keilani, and Khloe), and Marvin Petersen. He is also survived by his brothers, Steve Robertson and Rich Robertson, along with his beloved dogs, Mylo and Lovely, who brought him comfort and companionship.

Greg’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, service, and compassion. He will be remembered for the sacrifices he made, the wisdom he shared, the laughter he brought to others, and the unwavering love he had for his family. Although he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every story shared, every Chargers game watched, every favorite song played, and every cherished memory held close.

Greg will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
