Michael O. Atkinson was born in Los Angeles on July 3, 1944, and he proudly stood as the eldest of five siblings. A true adventurer at heart, who enjoyed the great outdoors and traveling across this country. In 1965, when he received his draft notice, he embraced the call by honoring his commitment to join the Air Force as a Military Police (MP) officer. During his service, he was stationed in the Philippines, where he found the two loves of his life: his faith and his wife, Angie.
Mike and Angie married in 1967 and went on to raise two wonderful children, Kenneth and Cheryl. He earned his degree in mechanical engineering and established a successful career in the aerospace industry. In his leisure time, Mike enjoyed watching westerns, listening to old-time radio, and diving into novels. His love for his country was matched only by his dedication to spreading the gospel.
