Former Seattle, Washington resident Bill Clogston died Monday November 14, 2022, at the age of 79. He was traveling to be with his daughter in California when he peacefully passed away in-flight.
At his request, no services will be held.
Born January 1, 1943, in Seattle, Washington, Bill became the first New Year’s baby of that year. Bill was born the middle son to Leslie and VeVe Clogston who had five boys:
After graduating from Ballard Hight School Bill attended ROTC for 3 years, and then went directly to work at Fishers Flour Mill in Seattle. Following in his father’s footsteps, Bill started out as a Shop Clerk, working his way up and through several positions to retire as Manager / Sales Technician. He traveled all over the states to meet with clients, testing their flour, bringing samples, and giving feedback on how to make their products better with Fisher’s flour. He was loyal and extremely passionate about his career and dedicated 48 years to the flour milling business.
He was married 3 times, blessed with 3 children, 5 stepchildren, and several beautiful grandchildren. He was called William, Bill, Dad, Pa Bill, or Sir William to friends and family who knew his “knighted story.” He was known to be a jokester, and always took time to make people laugh and smile. He even dedicated his time and heart these last few years to Lake City seniors and those who were homeless or living on the streets.
Bill will be laid to rest at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Burien, Washington with his third wife and soul mate Fran, who passed away in 2011.
