

Mrs. Bryant was born Sept. 24, 1928, in Nacogdoches County, Texas, as a daughter of Malcolm D. Mims and Pearl Newman Mims. She formerly worked for a number of years with Continental Can Company in Houston, Texas, while living in that area. She and her family have made their home in Etoile for the past several years. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward Darvin "E.D." Bryant of Etoile, Texas; a son, Larry Edward Bryant of Etoile, Texas; a grandson, Teddy Schneider of Houston, Texas; a granddaughter, Sarah Schneider of Houston, Texas; a sister, Maxine Davis of Lufkin, Texas; and a brother, Billy Ray Mims of Woden, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Faye Schneider, in 1988; her parents, Malcolm and Pearl Mims; and a brother, Dumas Mims.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Etoile United Pentecostal Church, located on Hwy. 103 in Etoile, with Bro. Glenn D. Morton officiating. Interment will follow at Simpson Campground Cemetery in Woden.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until service time at the church.
