It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Ara. Ara touched many lives in the Nacogdoches and surrounding area. If anyone ever needed anything and he had it, it was certainly yours to borrow. Ara spent over a decade working for Plant Operations at Memorial Hospital where maintained the HVAC system or any issues that were thrown his way. He learned to fix and build just about anything. He was a jack of all trades that begun with him taking his tricycle apart to maintaining multi ton, water cooled, AC units. As if that wasn’t enough he was a fantastic cook and a master of the BBQ pit. If you’ve ever had his short ribs and brisket, you would agree. He also had a great love of flying and aircraft engine repair. Even if it was a remote controlled toy drone, helicopter or airplane, it would bring him hours of joy.
He is preceded in death by: Grandfathers, Ottis Ara Roe and Thomas Eugene Randall. Grandmother, Agnes Randall.
He will be dearly missed and is survived by: Son, Dillon Roe. Mother and Father, Barbara Roe and Ara Ottis Roe. Brothers, Rodney Roe, Ottis Ara Roe. Sister, Rhonda Roe. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
