Born in Saint Jo, Texas, he was the youngest son of George and Willie Larison. After military service in the United States Army during the Korean War, he attended barber school. He owned a barber shop in Cisco, Texas before moving to Nacogdoches in 1967. He was a barber at Stephen F. Austin State University and had numerous barber shops before he retired in 2005. He was a barber at the First United Methodist Church with proceeds from his efforts used to eliminate church debt.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He and Marilyn enjoyed traveling; he was always ready to go. He enjoyed gardening and fishing with his grandson. Bill was a man of few words but a great listener. He was known for his generosity and his sense of humor that carried him through to the end.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Larison, step children, Kelly Coates and wife Beth, Georgeanne Wimberley and husband Doug, grandchildren Will Soloman, Trent Stokes, Lori Larison, Bobby Jo Larison, and step grandchildren Nicholas Coates, Amy Rich, Zachary Coates, and Daniel Wimberley, 6 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his two children, Barry Larison and Robin Stokes, as well as his brothers, JC, George, Calvin, and Tom and sisters, Loretta and Thelma.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11 at Cason Monk Funeral Home, 5400 North St. Services will be held on Thursday, December 12 at Cason Monk at 2:00 PM with Reverands Rick Anderson and Lorraine Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas or First United Methodist Church.
