Billy J. Morgan

Billy J. Morgan, 100, of San Augustine, Texas passed away peacefully in San Augustine, Friday, December 13, 2019. He was born to John William Morgan and Hattie Sharp Morgan on June 13, 1919, in Ponta, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather. He proudly served his county in the United States Army during WWII.

He is survived by: wife, Mary Vivian Morgan of 70 years, San Augustine, TX; son, Bill Morgan and wife Saletta of Baja, Mexico; daughters, Pat Bruton and husband Dwight of Houston, TX, Judy Akins of Houston, TX, Kathy Felts of Broaddus, TX, and Sherry Ehmling and husband Arthur of Houston, TX; grandchildren, David Reimers, Timothy Reimers, Kristina Husband, Amie Felts Albritton, Arthur Ehmling, Jr., Gennifer Ehmling, Randy Morgan, Nicole Guerlin, Eric Bruton, and Lance Bruton; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Husband, Whitney Allen, Wesley Husband, Colton Albritton, Lance Albritton, Christian Ehmling, Joseph Ehmling, Samuel Ehmling, Eden Bilbo, Robert Morgan, Randy W. Morgan, Riley Morgan, Ryder Morgan, Morgan Bruton, Matthew Milner, Samantha Derugon, Hillary Embody, Zachary Guertin, and Savanna Guertin; great great-grandchildren, Tristen Husband, Avery Allen and Delaney Allen.

Preceded in death by: father-John W. Morgan, mother-Hattie Sharp; sons-Johnny London Morgan and Thomas Randy Morgan; sisters-Virginia, Carmen and Mabel; brother-Wiley Morgan and Clarence Morgan.

Funeral services will be held, 2:00 PM, Friday, December 20, 2019, Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. The family will receive friends, prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. All veterans and active military are invited to attend.
