

Birdie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sanford Watts, Jr., J.B. Watts; sister, Modie McNeary; beloved niece, Vallie M.Watts; nephews, Ben Watts, Don Watts and Earl James Watts.
She is survived by her nieces, Hannah Nealy and husband John, Linda Watts, Renee Watts; nephews, Gene Watts and wife Betty, Manuel Watts and wife Carnita, Charles Watts and J.B. Watts, Jr.
Birdie was a sweet lady who gave her life to helping others. After graduating high school she gained employment as a Nurse’s Aide and worked for several nursing homes. She was devoted to God and her church and was a lifelong member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church. On her free time she enjoyed baking for others. She was famous for her 7-up pound cake, divinity and peanut brittle. We will miss many things about Birdie but most especially her smile.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February, 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Johnson Chapel Baptist Church in Nacogdoches with Rev. Clarence Yarborough officiating. Interment will follow at Egypt Cemetery in Rusk County.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, February, 27, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
