
Funeral Service for Carolyne Hughes of Nacogdoches will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Family Member, Pastor Chris Lipp of McKinney Memorial Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas will be officiating.
Mrs. Hughes was born November 5, 1945 in Buffalo, New York. She was the daughter of Virginia Wallace.
Carolyne attended both South Park High School and the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. She was married on March 27, 1964 in Warrenton, North Carolina to Thomas. They have been married for 46 years. Carolyne was a member of Grace Bible Church in Nacogdoches and was an accomplished artist and Tole painter. She was devoted to her family and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Her survivors include: her husband of 46 years, Thomas Hughes, of Nacogdoches; a loving daughter, Kimberly LaGraff and husband Scott , of Nacogdoches; a son Thomas Hughes of Guadalahara, Mexico; grand children; Cameron and Aidan LaGraff of Nacogdoches, Roxanna, Carolina, and Citlali Hughes of Mexico and Alexander Warren of Yucaipa, California, and “B.F.F.”, Jan Cibula and her husband, Larry of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Cason -Monk Metcalf Funeral Directors on 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Campus Crusade for Christ, 3414 Live Oak, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
