Cliron was commonly known as “Harvey” to his friends and family. He was a graduate of Woden High School.
He began working for Nacogdoches County Road and Bridge. He married Thomasann Pitts on June 27, 1970, and they shared 46 years together. He could fix most anything and was happy to do so. In his later years, he enjoyed farming, raising cows and showing them and hauling hay. If there was work he could do outside that would be where you find him. He had a good work ethic. Some family members may call him a workaholic. Harvey was quick witted, kind and loved being with his family and grandchildren. When he thought about gardening, he thought big enough to share with his family and friends. Harvey was generous with his time and resources. He would always lend a hand when needed. If you asked Harvey for advice he was glad to give it. You always knew where he stood on things. He was a practical man that used commonsense and was proud to teach his children and grandchildren his principles. When he allowed himself down time you might find him sitting on the porch, deer hunting, showing cattle or going to the rodeo. Harvey was a family man and spending time with his family was very important to him. He enjoyed supporting his grandchildren at their sports games. His sudden passing will leave a big hole in the hearts of his family and friends.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Thomasann Butler; children Kevin Dwayne Butler and girlfriend Sheree Tubbe, Kathy Durrett and husband Doug, Thomas Cliron Butler and wife Sylvia; grandchildren, Tyler Butler, BreAuna Butler, Zachary Butler, Danielle Butler, Kayla Durrett, Jessica Durrett, Tayde Martines-Butler, Liliana Butler; and mother-in law, Margarette Pitts.
