David Bruce Raines

David was born December 2, 1964 to Donnis and Luclaire in Houston, TX. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1983, he went on to study business at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 1988.

After graduation David pursued a career as a self employed photographer. In 1995, David married and went on to have twins, Jessica Raines and Jake Raines.

David grew up in church at Westheimer Baptist Church and became a missionary for several years. He had such a strong passion for music. He loved singing, dancing and playing guitar. His hobbies included building radio control airplanes, photography, woodworking and reading. You could always count on him to have fresh grown tomatoes in the backyard. David was happy-go-lucky, free-spirited and would always be considered the life of the party. He never met a stranger. To know him was to love him.

David is preceded in death by his brother, James Ray Holcombe, his father, Donnis Lawayne Raines, and his mother, Patsy Luclaire Lang Raines. David is survived by his children, Jessica and Jake Raines of Nacogdoches, TX, his sisters Amy Marie Raines of Fayetteville, AR, Debbie Holcombe Bravo of Hawell, MI, Sondra Raines Brooks of Pittsboro, NC and his brother, Greg Raines of Chico, California.
