

A Funeral service for Donald “Don” Ray Corley, 72, will be Friday, May 6, 2011, at 4:00 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel located at 5400 North St. Nacogdoches, Texas. Interment will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.
Don passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the family farm in Nacogdoches. He was born November 3, 1938. He was a graduate of Central Heights High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State University.
He was a dairyman for 35 years and still loved farming and gardening. He was a lifelong member of Bonita united Methodist Church where he served with great joy in many capacities. He was very active in his community with service in Volunteer Fire Dept., Central Heights School Board of Trustees and other organizations. Most of all he loved working with his children and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Lucille Parmley Corley and sisters, Jean Crank, Betty Jones and Nell Haubold. He was also preceded in death by his nephews Greg Haubold and Jeff Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Hurst Corley and 3 children, Donna Corley Fountain, Richard Corley, and Dale Corley and wife Missy; brother, George Campbell Corley; sister, Nancy Corley Dorsett; brother-in-law, Joe Hurst; sister-in-law, Ardath Hurst Mayhar.
He is also survived by his six grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
