

Mr. Dancer was born July 12, 1940, in Beaumont to C.V. Dancer and Audrey Skibo Dancer. He was a former longtime resident of Vidor, graduated from Vidor High School and Lamar University. He worked as a pipefitter with Local #195, was a member of Pine Forest Masonic Lodge and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors: his wife, Arleen Dancer of Chireno; daughter, Tammy Dancer Glaze and husband Lon of Lufkin; sons, Donald Brent Dancer and wife Jennie of Austin, Paul Dancer of College Station, Andrew Velton Dancer and wife Rachel Ann of College Station; sister, Sherry Brown of Vidor; brother, Leonard Dancer of Nacogdoches; and grandchildren, Ian Seth, Madelyn DeLaine, Casey Lee, Donald Gray, and Baby Dancer.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, Nacogdoches, with Bro. Lon Glaze officiating. Interment will follow at Little’s Chapel Cemetery near Chireno.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers: Gary Reynolds, Randy Reynolds, Robby Godeaux, Bo Brown, Tom McGuire, and Brian McGuire.
Honorary Pallbearers: Shane Reynolds, Lamar Horn, Hayden Eddings, Johnny DeRamos, Earl Talcott, and Lester Loft.
