Laverne was a past member of Crestview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Hideaway Lake Community Church. She was also a part of the Mercy Ship Ministries alongside her late husband.
Laverne's Passions and Hobbies: She loved teaching Sunday School to the small children at church, and being campfire girls' leader. She also loved reading, sewing, quilting, cooking, painting, embroidery, and gardening.
Laverne is survived by her loving family, daughter, Lagena Carver and husband, Gary Carver; grandchildren, James and wife, Leigh Anne Carver and Casey and wife, Amy Kay Carver, and great – grandchildren Spencer Max, Birdie Mae, and Finley Oliver Carver.
