

Marvin was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Horace Tucker and Barbara Moore Spradley on July 4, 1921.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Robert Spradley, Tucker Spradley, and sister, Mattie Moore. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Peggy Lee Hood Spradley.
Marvin is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Barbara Helen McNally and her husband Tom of Houston; and his grandchildren, Deborah Lynn (Keyworth) LaRue and husband, David, of Conroe, Texas, Steven Randall Keyworth of Houston, Kelly Wayne and wife, Cheryl Margaret Keyworth of Houston, and Chris Henshaw of Houston. He is also remembered by his eleven great-grand-children, and 5 great-great-grand-children, all of the greater Houston area.
As a young child he helped in the family business, Spradley Dairy. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. military, serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a flight engineer for the B-24, 25, 29 planes.
Marvin enjoyed playing dominos, and loved working Bingo nights at the American Legion, Post 442, in Sealy, Texas.
In his early years, Marvin supported his family as a truck owner delivering oil field equipment. In later years he enjoyed visiting his friends at the American Legion in Sealy.
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Knesek Hwy 36 Funeral Chapel in Sealy, followed by a service with Pastor Rusty Griffin of the Christian City Fellowship Church officiating.
A luncheon will follow the funeral service at the American Legion Hall, Sealy.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday. December 27, 2015, at Old Union Cemetery in Nacogdoches under directions of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches. Family and friends will meet at Cason Monk-Metcalf to leave in procession at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers: Tom McNally, David LaRue, Adam Spivey, Steven Keyworth, Chris Henshaw, Killian Henshaw, and Kelly Keyworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post #442 P.O. Box 442, Sealy, Texas 77474.
