Pa, Papa, Pippi and Uncle Johnny, these are a few of the loving names his family called him. This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be greatly missed.
Henry Clay Arriola was born September 10, 1934 in Nacogdoches County and after 87 years, he passed away to his eternal home on September 24, 2021.
Henry worked for many years at SFA in the transportation department until his retirement. He loved to fish, hunt, garden and spend time with his family. If you spoke to anyone that knew him, they would all say what a great man he was. Henry was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his brother; James Arriola; sister, Liz Cook, daughter; Debra Hardy; grandchildren, Kellie Philips and Scott Beavers, several great grandchildren, a host of nieces, and nephews and many beloved friends and relatives. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven with Memie watching over us.
A visitation for Henry will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
