Mr. Neill is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Oneta Box, brothers, Harold B. Neill, Marion Neill and son-in-law Jerry M. Sessions.
When you think of Jerry you think of a hardworking man with great moral values always teasing or trying to pull one over on you. He was a handsome, loving husband, father, uncle and grandfather who fell in love with Sue many years ago committing his life to her faithfully. Mr. Neill served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jerry worked for the same company all of his working years. After graduating from Cushing High School, Jerry was hired by Southwestern Bell as a linesman. With 30+ years of service, he retired from Southwestern Bell as a 2nd line supervisor, proud of the telephone line he installed all over the state of Texas during his career. Jerry never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone. During his post retirement years, he enjoyed raising cattle, fishing and hunting with his family, brothers and cousins. Jerry was a cunning “42” player, teaching his children and grandchildren the skills of the game.
Jerry was an active member of Trawick Presbyterian Church and served as an elder for several years. He was also a lifetime member of the Morning Lion’s Club. Having touched several lives, Jerry was loved by all and will be remembered by many.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sue Hutchison Neill; daughter, Cynthia Neill Sessions; son, Kenneth Madison Neill and wife Kathy; granddaughters, Michelle Oliver and husband Jason, Sabra Sessions, Madison Neill and grandson Jacob Neill; great granddaughters, Addison and Ashley Oliver; sister, Ouitau Williams along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu flowers, donations can be made to Trawick Presbyterian Church which supports many religious charities.
