Jim Larry Carroll

Jim Larry Carroll, 79, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away peacefully in Longview, Texas, on October 31, 2026. Jim was born on January 3, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to Jim L. Carroll and Henrietta Carroll Graff.

He attended Conroe High School. Following graduation, Jim began his working career with the Texas Highway Department. He later worked for APAC and Smith Brothers of Conroe, then started working for Carroll and Carroll, in Georgia. He eventually returned to Texas, where he worked for BMS in Nacogdoches until his retirement.

Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, and tinkering with just about anything. He also had a passion for firearms and enjoyed working with them in his spare time. Jim was a hardworking man who enjoyed staying busy and spending time doing the things he loved.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Justin L. Carroll of Nacogdoches; his daughter, Cindy Wickman of Richards, Texas; his sister, Jeanie L. Carroll of Nacogdoches; and his grandsons, Cody Carroll of Georgia and Dylan Dunn of Huntsville, Texas.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jim L. Carroll and Henrietta Carroll Graff, and his beloved wife, Patsy Carroll. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
