Mr. LaMarr was born June 16, 1929, in Beaumont, Texas, to parents John S. LaMarr Sr. and Mildred Thibadeaux LaMarr. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam.
He attended Stephen F. Austin State University and retired as a safety engineer for Moore Business Forms of Nacogdoches, Texas.
Mr. LaMarr was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian LaMarr.
HIs survivors include his children, Kathryn Jean LaMarr, John Stanley LaMarr III, and Margaret Ann LaMarr.
In lieu of flowers, his family has sugested memorials to the Disabled Veterans (DAV) or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Private arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors in Nacogdoches, Texas.
