Juanita (De la Cruz) Torres

Juanita (de la Cruz) Torres passed away May 23, 2024 in Mansfield, Texas at the age of 77 years. She was born December 19, 1946 in Cuidad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico to her parents Santiago and Ramona (Reyes) de la Cruz.

She was united in marriage with Luis Guerrero Torres and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2019. They were poultry farmers prior to retiring in the mid-2000s. Juanita loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and she cooked the best meals ever! Together they were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nacogdoches and Juanita was currently residing in Nacogdoches, Texas.

She is survived by, her son, Juan Luis Torres and wife Yolanda; daughter, Eugenia Uribe and husband Miguel; grandsons, Luis H. Torres, Miguel G. Uribe, Jordan Uribe, Michael Stefanowicz, Peter Martinez and Robert Lopez; granddaughters, Myranda Torres, Alexandra Martinez, Catherine Uribe and S. J. Uribe; great grandchildren, Everett Lopez, Julian Martinez, Emmett Lopez, Isabella Uribe, Luna Bella Uribe and Natalie Tilley; other siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a granddaughter, Kayla Uribe.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors with Deacon Mario Ibanez officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 at the funeral home.
