

June Warr Jones was born on September 4, 1935, to Rachel and Junie Harris, in Timpson, Texas. She was an only child and grew up loved and cared for. She passed away on February 10, 2026, with her daughter and son by her side.
June graduated from Garrison High School. She was the highest ranking girl in her senior class. After high school she attended Massey Business School in Nacogdoches.
While at Massey Business School, she met and fell in love with a handsome young guy, Al Warr. After a very short engagement they were married February 12, 1955. Al was in the entertainment business and they traveled all over the United States with the singing group, The Four Mints.
They had two children, Jeff and Tara. When they left the business they made Garrison, Texas and later Nacogdoches, Texas their home.They were married 37 years until Al passed away in 1992.
June was primarily a housewife and mother but did work part time at several gift shops in Nacogdoches, The Fredonia Hotel gift shop for one. She also loved volunteered at Memorial Hospital for forty- eight years, as a "pink lady". In recent years, she enjoyed volunteering at the Nacogdoches Visitor Center.
On August 15, 1998, she married Dr. David Jones. She was so fortunate to share his adult children, Juli Jones Wood, Laura Jones Besedenhert, Gregory Jones and Wesley Jones. They were so wonderful to her and welcomed her into their family. They both loved to travel and spent eight years together until his death in 2006.
June was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Nacogdoches for many years. She loved her Sunday School class and the Primetimers.
She is survived by Daughter, Tara Williams and husband, Larry Williams of Garrison, Texas, and Jeff Warr, and wife, Sabrina Warr, of Tyler, Texas. She has three grandchildren, Joni Machaud and husband Colby Machaud of Kyle, Texas, Cassi Newell and husband Andy Newell, of Austin, Texas, and Alden Warr, and wife, Lauren Warr, of Tyler, Texas. She was blessed to have five great- grandson, Jackson, and Carson Machaud, Henry and Harris Newell, and Joseph Warr.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Nacogdoches, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026. A reception will follow in the church parlor. A private family inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
