

Born July 2, 1975, in Nacogdoches, Texas, Kent was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Woden High School. He was very talented with computer skills, enjoying working with their functions and service.
Kent was employed by Nacogdoches Iron Works at the time of his passing and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed participating in Fantasy Football as well as cooking and grilling for family and friends.
His survivors include his parents, Clyde E. "Butch" and Wanda (Essman) Hightower of Melrose, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Krista and Rachain West of Aubrey, Texas; uncles and aunts, Roy and Jean Essman of Nacogdoches, Texas, Carolyn Moore of Magnolia, Texas, Brenda Allen of Nacogdoches, Texas, Ed and Margo Essman of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Connard Sowell of Alazan, Texas; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Ruth Essman; paternal grandparents, Lester and Audrey Hightower; an uncle, Lester Hightower Jr.; and an aunt, Sally Sowell.
Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Bro. Paul Sevar officiating. Interment will follow at Attoyac Cemetery in San Augustine County, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
His family suggests that memorials may be considered for Love INC; Calvary Baptist Church Mission Projects; or a charity of your choice.
