Kimberly Joe Phillips Moore, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at 5:01 a.m. at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She was born on December 4, 1960, to A.W. Phillips and Bobbie Williams Phillips.
On November 19, 1976, Kimberly married the love of her life and soulmate, Freddie Lynn Moore, in Nacogdoches County. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family.
Kimberly was a proud graduate of Garrison High School, Class of 1979. She was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she cherished her church family deeply. One of her greatest wishes was to return home to worship with them again on Sunday mornings.
Above all, Kimberly’s life was rooted in her faith and her family. She loved her daughters dearly and would do anything for them, but she often said the true lights of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended every sporting event she could, always their biggest supporter and loudest cheerleader.
She is survived by her loving husband, Freddie Moore of Nacogdoches; daughters, Courtney Rideout of Nacogdoches, and Jami Yarbrough and husband Rodney of Garrison; grandchildren, Makaleigh Davis of Mesquite, Jaylon Davis of Garrison, McKenzie Davis of Mesquite, and Aidan Rideout of Denton; great-grandchildren, Tykira Ulmer and Nova Ulmer of Mesquite; sister and brother-in-law, Melynda Barrett and Leroy of Garrison; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Charlotte Blackshire and Lonnie, along with their grandson Joshua Marsh; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy Wilburn and Jessi of Nacogdoches; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.W. and Bobbie Phillips; her grandparents, Jewel and Ivy Phillips and Hazel Williams; her aunt, Pat Fountain; her uncle, Emory Williams; her brother-in-law, James Moore; and her niece, Kim Halton Marsh.
Services will be officiated by Bro. Homer. Kimberly will be laid to rest at Old Prospect Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Aidan Rideout, Jalen Davis, JT Anderson, Marco, Maxwell Gipson, and Matt
Barrett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
Kimberly will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her kind heart, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy of devotion, strength, and compassion will live on in all who knew and loved her.
