Laquice Kaye Sanford

Funeral services will be held for Laquice Kaye Sanford, with her mother, on Saturday, November 11th, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Garrison Church of Christ, Garrison, Texas. Visitation will be Friday evening, November 10th, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Sunset Chapel of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Laquice Kaye Sanford was born on May 25, 1975 in San Francisco, California. She attended Phillip and Sala Burton Academic School in San Francisco. On October 28, 2023, God called her home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Ray Sanford of Lufkin, Texas and her mother, Laura Jene Sanford of Garrison, Texas; one daughter, Donisha Sanford, two brothers, Kenneth Earl Sanford and Kerry Allen Sanford of San Francisco, California.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, B.J. and Anna Griffith and Javon and Ruth Griffith, all of Garrison, Texas; one daughter, Brittany Griffith of Garrison, Texas; two grandsons, River M. Griffith and Kameryn D. Speed of Nacogdoches, Texas; aunts, Brenda Griffith and Sharlon Gipson of Garrison, Texas, Annie Cathy Gipson of Lufkin, Texas; uncles, Turner Gipson, Jr. and Ted Mack Gipson of Garrison, Texas, Donnie Gipson and Kim Gipson of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ja Kalin Griffith, Courtland Griffith, Turner Gipson, Xabreon Hall, Tyrese Johnson and Dexter Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers are La’corey Gipson, Shakur Johnson-Griffith, Derrick Johnson, Tre Sanders, Toby Griffith and Chris Allbritton.
