

Linda Nell Battle Pedersen, 68, passed away on March 17, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on August 2, 1945 in Austin, Texas to parents Granvel Battle and Helen Nell Battle. She is predeceased by her parents.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years Bill Pedersen, Jr., and by her three children Patricia, Rebecca, and Billy, her sons-in-law Chris Goodwin and Brad Walden, and three grandchildren, Cooper, Bailey and Spencer. She is also survived by her brothers Guy and Scott and sister Deborah, and by a large and loving extended family.
Mrs. Pedersen was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and Stephen F. Austin State University, and was an elementary school teacher. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and children. She was an active, longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and drew great joy and comfort from her church family.
She was a member of many civic and service organizations and proudly belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, March 19 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Burial will take place on Thursday, March 20 at 10:00 am at Swift Cemetery on Highway 7 East. A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be conducted by Rev. Steve Newton at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nacogdoches on Thursday, March 20 at 2:00 pm.
