Linda Ann (Lowery) Pinner, age 80, of Etoile, Texas passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 in Lufkin, Texas. Linda was born December 21, 1941 in Etoile, Texas to parents Burl Lowery and Myrtle E. Lowery.
Mrs. Pinner was a native of Etoile, Texas for the past 80 years. She graduated from Woden High School as Valedictorian. While in school at Woden, she never missed a day, earning perfect attendance every year. Linda continued her education receiving a bachelor’s degree in home economics from Stephen F. Austin in 1967. Linda had a career as a social worker with the State of Texas for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Tommy. Her love was gardening, antiquing, cooking, and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lynn Pinner, April 16, 2006; parents Burl Lowery on March 28, 1978, and Myrtle E. Lowery, on October 30, 1998.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cunningham and husband Bruce (Sulphur Springs, Texas); grandchildren, Katherine Holm and husband Mark (Jarrell, Texas); John Cunningham (Sulphur Springs, Texas); great-grandson, Wesson Holm (Jarrell, Texas); sister, Gloria Young (Etoile, Texas); and niece, Samantha Croft and family (Bartlett, Illinois).
Visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St., Nacogdoches, Texas 75965. A graveside service will occur Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Blue Springs Cemetery, Etoile, Texas.
