Lois Marie Fisher

Lois Marie Fisher passed from this life August 23, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. She was born April 17, 1928 to Alvin Julius Briesemeister Sr. and Lillian Louise Raube Briesemeister in Seguin, Texas. She graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Texas Luther College in 1947. Lois met Albert Loren Fisher there, and they married on June 26, 1948 in Seguin, Texas.

Lois dedicated her life to her faith, husband and children. She was an active member of her church; teaching Sunday School, working summer Vacation Bible Schools, serving in and leading the Altar Guild, and serving as congregation Bookkeeper and Treasurer at various times. Her favorite activities included gardening, quilting, watching the birds and butterflies that congregate in her yard, working jigsaw puzzles, and reading.

She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, aunts and uncles, her beloved and faithful husband Albert, her brother Henry H Briesemeister and sister-in-law Pauline Briesemeister, by her brother in law Aaron Beck and his wife Dorothy Fisher Beck and brother in law Kenneth M Fisher.

She is survived by her brother Alvin Briesemeister Jr and his wife Martha Jane, her brother Charles Briesemeister, brother-in-law James Fisher, brother-in-law Steven Fisher and his wife Janet, sister-in-law Mary Vulchev and her husband Nedelko, and her late brother-in-law Kenneth Fisher’s wife Misako.

Lois is also survived by her four children and their families: James Fisher, Robert Fisher and his wife Judith, Barbara Gilmore and her husband Donald, John Fisher and his wife Janice, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lois will be buried alongside her husband Albert in Brookside Memorial Park (Houston) on August 29, 2019. All are welcome to a visitation held in Cason Monk-Metcalf on Wednesday, August 28 from 4-6 pm. Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 29 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
