Mr. Williams was born Aug. 20, 1939, in Denison, Texas, as a son of the late Nellie Sue (Cauthen) and Ralph Lance Williams and had lived in Nacogdoches for approximately 20 years. He was a retired mechanical engineer with a large portion of his career working to service and install presses and had also performed work servicing race cars.
Mr. Williams was also devoted to his church, First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches.
Survivors: a daughter, Beth Brotherton of Ft. Worth, Texas; sons, Brian Williams of Clarksville, Arkansas, and Michael Williams of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Mary Roan and Pat Williams, both of Nacogdoches; a brother, Bill Williams of Niota, Tennessee; granddaughters, Alyssa Ryan Brotherton and Ashley Williams; and his beloved cat, Roof Top.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at the chapel of First Baptist Church (411 North Street, Nacogdoches) with his pastor, Dr. Allen Reed, officiating.
