Nancy was born on January 8, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to Mary Ellen Prewitt and Rex Nelson Hall. She later earned her GED and devoted her life to her family as a loving stay-at-home wife, mother, and an exceptional cook.
Nancy found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved working in her yard, creating beautiful flower beds, and spending time in her kitchen preparing delicious meals for anyone who stopped by. Her home was always open, and no one ever left her table hungry. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially when “her boys”—Josh, Derek, Colton, JoJo, and Brandon—were together again under her roof, drawn back time and time again by her warmth and unforgettable cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Zamarron of Pearland, Texas; her grandsons, Derek Zamarron and his wife Priscilla of Pearland, Texas, and Joshua Calderon of Pontotoc, Mississippi; and her three great-grandsons, Chandler, Payton, and Fisher, all of Pontotoc, Mississippi. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Debbie Russell, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. The family extends a special thank you to Connie Forman, a cherished friend with whom Nancy considered another daughter.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen Prewitt and Rex Nelson Hall; her beloved husband, Wayne Harrison; her daughter, Sherri Allred; her son, Jason Harrison; her sister, Shirley Sitton and brother-in-law Bob Sitton; and her brother, Roy Daily Hall.
Nancy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared so freely with all who knew her
