Paul Albert Tischhauser

He was born November 4, 1930, to parents Paul and Norma Tischhauser in Nacogdoches Texas.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cason Monk-Metcalf’s Sunset Chapel. Committal services will be following at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Patriot Guard Riders will be present with rites offered by the U.S. Air Force and Cushing Masonic Lodge.

Paul served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Paul graduated from Stephen F. Austin State College in 1954 and became the high school biology teacher for McCamey Independent School District in McCamey, Texas. He obtained his Masters in Education from Stephen F. Austin State College in 1958.

He was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America, serving in numerous roles within the local organization. He was a 50-year member of the Freemasons. He was also a supporter of Lake Nacogdoches Volunteer Fire Department. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him most.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul H. and Norma Tischhauser; his brother, John Charles Tischhauser; and his wife, Velta Tischhauser.

He is survived by his son, Paul H. Tischhauser and partner Patsy Keys of Louisiana; daughter, Deborah E. Tabb of Midland Texas; grandchildren, Paul A. Tischhauser and partner Stephanie of Indiana, Micki Stokes and husband Matthew Stokes of Lubbock, Texas, and Tarah N. Tischhauser of Indiana; great-grandchildren, Gianna Marie Littlejohn, Zen Tischhauser, and Zach Tischhauser; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be offered to Lake Nacogdoches Volunteer Fire Department, 9480 South FM 225, Nacogdoches, TX 75964.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Wade, Paul Luna, Martin Dorsett, Scott Belyeu, Bobby Bolin, and Brett Labbit.
