Peggy Jean (Link) Gibson

Peggy Jean Link Gibson passed away on June 18, 2020 in Tomball, Texas. She was born on July 17, 1930 in Beaumont, Texas to parents, Richard Vernon Link and Effie Ray Hammond Link.

Peggy graduated from Woodville High School, and from Business School in Nacogdoches. She married Clarence Wheeler Gibson on August 19, 1947. They were married for 39 years until his death on August 8, 1986. Peggy was a longtime member at First Christian Church in Nacogdoches and later attended First Freewill Baptist in Tomball.

Peggy’s careers included being a homemaker, a Dresses Pattern Maker at Mize Factory, and a Bookkeeper at Stephen F. Austin Library.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter, Karen Kolb Sehlke, on April 2, 2020.

Survivors include: son, Paul Wheeler Gibson and wife Gaylia; daughter, Gail Gibson Kolb; grandchildren, Mark Gibson and wife Ginger, Cindy Hurst and husband Cody, Kurt Kolb and with Beth; grandson-in-law, Michael Sehlke; great-grandchildren, Carah Gibson, Chandler Gibson, Austin Sehlke, Blake Sehlke, Logan Tedder, Wyatt Kolb and Cambry Hurst.

Funeral services will be held, 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2020, Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 9:00 –10:00 AM prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, with a reception back at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Gibson, Kurt Kolb, Austin Sehlke, Blake Sehlke, Chandler Gibson, Wyatt Kolb, Michael Sehlke and Logan Tedder.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas.
