Randle Albert Turner

Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas, with Bro. Sonny Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow with United States Marine military rites at Shady Grove Cemetery, located on FM 2112 in Nacogdoches County.

Active pallbearers will be Bill Cunningham, Andy Lowrie, Mark DuBose, Michael Montes, Matthew Montes, Joey Renfro. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the officers he served with.

Randle is preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his longtime sweetheart and wife, Misty Turner; sons; Landen Turner, Cy Turner, Kenneth Turner; step-son, Jakob Perez, step-daughter, Jaycee Perez; father, Richard Alton Turner , mother, Kathy V. Pruitt; parents-in-law, Jerry and Pat Wofford; brother, Richard “Rick” Alton Turner ll; sister, Carrie Ann Eubanks and husband Rafe; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randy attended Martinsville High School and joined the United States Marines. He attended Angelina College Police Academy, and had worked as a law enforcement officer in East Texas for several years. Randy served as a member of a SWAT Team, Canine handler, and a narcotics detective.

Randy was full of life and fun loving and brought a smile to everyone’s face. He loved to laugh and spend time with his family and his wife. When he had extra time you could find him fishing and just kicking back listening to country music. He was a simple man and a backbone to friends and family.

He will be greatly missed.
