

Mr. McKnight graduated from Tyler Lee High School, earned an Associate’s Degree from Tyler Junior College, and later completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Bob enjoyed motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing, dancing, cards, and dominos—and was especially skilled at complaining that everything cost too much! He was an active member of Rotary, Cycleland, the Texas Leaders Round Table, and served on the local bank Board of Directors.
He built a successful career as a financial advisor, insurance agent, and commercial real estate investor. He was an avid investor who took pride in building his company from the ground up. His integrity, vision, and commitment to his community were evident throughout his professional journey.
Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Eva McKnight; and his wife, Janice McKnight.
He is survived by his brother, William McKnight; his sons, Roger McKnight and wife Linda, and Wes McKnight and wife Natalie; granddaughters, Macey McKnight-Whitney and husband Jon, Hadley Brown and husband Nathan, and Indie McKnight; and grandson, Rhodes McKnight.
A Memorial Celebration honoring his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at The Madory (The Barn), 793 County Road 228 in Nacogdoches, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Bob and Janice McKnight SFA Scholarship c/o SFA Alumni Association, SFA Box 6096, Nacogdoches, Texas 75962 or to Grace Bible Church, 2305 Raguet Street, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
