Robert was known as “Spuds” and “Papa "to all who knew him. Robert drove an ice cream truck back in the day and believed that he could eat all he could and then sale the rest-until Brenda asked about all the paychecks deductions. Robert also worked as a Machinist for a while; through the years Robert was known to work, work and work hard for his family at Pasadena Refinery Systems, where he chose to retire and go back to his hometown to enjoy his life with Brenda.
Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Gay Mills; along with his two children; his son Giles and Rene` Mills, Conroe, Texas and daughter Collette and Danny Phillips, Hockley, Texas, six grandchildren; Paige and Josh Ivy, Samantha Mills and Donald Summey, Danny Jr. Phillips, Laycie Chavers, Danielle and Trevor Phillips; four great grandchildren; Jacob Wayne, John Ryan, Elijah Jayce, Daimon Giles and many loving nieces, nephews and relatives.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel officiated by Chaplain Jerry Jones. Interment will follow at Libby Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brian Moreau, Alex Moreau, Giles Mills, Danny Phillips Jr., Josh Ivy, and Muncie Powers.
Honorary Pallbearers will Danny Phillips Sr., Donald Summey, Justin Bass, Britt Moreau, and Clayton Moreau.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Libby Cemetery, 1326 CR 271, Garrison, Texas 75946.
