Rose M. Krhovjak

June 17, 1931November 19, 2017

Rose Mary Krhovjak slipped away from her earthly body into her Heavenly reward on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Willowbrook Nursing Home in Nacogdoches, where she had resided for some time. Born June 17, 1931, Ms. Rosie was 86 years old.

Rosie loved to laugh and tell jokes. She was a joy to be around and she tried to make everyone else happy. She had owned “Ms. Pizza” in Friendswood. Her pizzas were so good that a large pizza chain came to her and made a generous offer she couldn’t refuse. She also worked as a manager for Houston Independent School District, supervising an elementary school cafeteria daily feeding about 300 children.

Rosie was the daughter of Jerry and Louise Krhovjak, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Willie and Ladik Krhovjak, and her sisters, Judy and Vlasta.

Her survivors include nieces and nephews, Bennett and Marie Krhovjak of Schulenberg, Annette and Curtis Felfe of Austin, Agnes and Chris Bennetsen of Yoakum, Marleen and Gene Suszanski of Magnolia, Donald Krhovjak of Austin, Sandra and John Janda of LaGrange, Patsy and Ted Jablonksi of Rosharon, Judy and Rick Hackstedt, Milton and Cathy Zapalac, and Renae and Daniel Sebesta, all of Needville, and Debbie and Kenneth Silva of Beasley; and a friend of many years, Era Lois Oneal of Nacogdoches. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Chapelview Mausoleum of Forest Park East Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.  Entombment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.

Visit to offer memories and condolences.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.

You will always be Mom to me. Your kindness, unconditional love and support, guided me and mine through many rough times. You were the only "Gramma" my daughter knew and she loved you until the day she passed. Spend some time with Hill and MJ, I love you all.
