Ruby Marie Graff Canfield was born May 9, 1924 in Galena Park, Texas and passed away October 27, 2020 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was the second of eight children born to Henry Harrison and Grace Waggoner Graff. After graduation from Galena Park High School, Ruby married Winton Canfield on April 22, 1942 in Houston, Texas. After the war, she stayed home to raise her children. Later she became an executive secretary at Houston Natural Gas. After retiring, Ruby and Winton moved to Nacogdoches to be near their children and grandchildren. Ruby loved to sing and entertain children as Bedelia the Clown. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother, an amazing homemaker, and a godly woman who prayed for and loved her family unconditionally. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.
