Sadie Lorene Sparks

Sadie Greening Sparks, age, 73, was born September 20, 1936, in Como, Texas, to the late J.C. “Boney” Greening and the late Mary Lee (Broach) Greening. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family.

Survivors include her loving husband, Clyde Harold Sparks, Sr.; sons, Terry Odell Sparks and wife Susan of Silsbee, Texas, Michael Shane Sparks and wife Elizabeth of Potamic Falls, Virginia, Loy Dean Sparks and wife Wendy of Tampa, Florida, and Clyde Harold Sparks, Jr. and wife Veronica of Nacogdoches, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Also survived by sisters; Mary Rambin of Garrison, Texas, and Margarette Broussard of Orange, Texas; brothers, James Allen (Jack) Greening and wife Joyce of Hughes Spring, Texas, Mayburn Greening, Sr. of Lufkin, Texas, Donald Greening of Garrison, Texas, and Homer Greening and wife Lee of Cleveland, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gary Greening and Bobby Greening.

Services are set for Sunday, August 22, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be Eric Sparks, Brian Sparks, Justin Sparks, Nicholas Sparks, Michael Sparks, and Gary Greening.
