

Mrs. Donahoe was born April 29, 1943, in Orange, Texas, and had lived in Nacogdoches County for the past several years. She loved her family and was very dedicated to their care. Sarah enjoyed collecting memorabilia items. She had a great love for nature and a great fondness of working in her yard and tending flowers. Solving jigsaw puzzles kept her busy as she loved the challenges of the puzzles—the bigger with the most pieces.
Her survivors include her daughter, Sarah Steubing and husband Richard of Groveton, Texas; son, Kevin Donahoe and fiancé Jill Gannaway of Nacogdoches, Texas; step-son, Chris Cato and wife Pamela of Spring, Texas; her mother, Mary Linscomb of Dayton, Texas; brother, Floyd Linscomb; sisters, Kitty Blackwell, Mary Brown, Lois Snider, and Rose Elliott; a brother-in-law, Wallace R. Donahoe and wife Betty; sister-in-law, Beverly Payne; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winford O. Donahoe, in 2011; father, Floyd Linscomb; and brothers, Fred Linscomb, Daniel Linscomb, and Gilbert Linscomb.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street. Officiating will be Dr. Allen Reed, retired pastor of First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
Private interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
