An ordained minister, Mrs. Wagner was a woman of strong faith who knew scripture very well. She traveled to India to help minister God’s teachings there. She was a very generous and giving person who would provide help where she could, including to many churches.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Wagner; brothers, L.M. Martin and Johnny Martin; and sisters, Charlotte Martin and Nordy Sullivan.
She is survived by her son, Ted Colvin and wife Mary; daughter, Donann Wellman and husband Stephen; sister, Helen Eugenia Martin-West; brothers, Doug Martin and Randall Martin; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2020, at Martinsville Cemetery officiated by Pastor Bailey Alders.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
