

Tommie moved to Swift, Texas in the 7th grade and soon after meet the love of her life, Tommy D. Pace. She married Tommy at the age of 17. After WWII the family moved to Melrose, Texas and remained there for the rest of their lives. She was a longtime member of the Melrose Baptist Church. Tommie devoted her life as homemaker for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was also very devoted to her God.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Hoover, Chis Scudder, Shirley Suiter and Barbara Dennis; brother, Oscar Wayne Whatley; husband of 73 years, Tommy D. Pace; son, Mike Pace.
Survivors include: daughter, Marsha Meador and husband Charles; daughter-in-law, June Pace; granddaughters, Stacy Triana and husband James, Charise Carl and husband Bruce, Rebecca Wells and husband CW, Cindy Barrett and husband JR; grandsons, Alan Pace and wife Debra, Jeff Pace and wife Melanie, and Mark Meador.
Pallbearers: Alan Pace, Jeff Pace, Mark Meador, Micheal Arriola, Tyler Simpson, JT Lowery, and Jake Vardeman.
Honorary Pallbearers: Kaleb Pace, Jeff Pace III, Cy Parmer, Jackson Barrett, Bear Arriola, Noah Pace, Tray Nelson, Colt Pace, Klaton Nelson, Josh Triana, Isaac Triana, April Nelson, Chandler Parmer, Samantha Cain, Alyssa Cain, Kaylei Pace, Lauren Herrick, Saiylee Nelson, and Kennedy Nelson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and staff of Life Care Hospice and Stallings Court.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2018, Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 1:00 –2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Cason Monk-Metcalf, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches.
