Where could I even begin? Well, I guess it would be back in 1993 I believe, in 5th grade on the school bus when I sat next to a sweet little blonde girl named Angela. We quickly became best friends and were inseparable through the remainder of our grade school years. Mrs. Stephens welcomed me into her home more weekends than I can count. She always took us to and from Friday Night Live, Angela’s softball games, the mall and more. I loved that grey mini van and the fact that she always had the best music playing. Annie Lennox was a favorite of ours and I still think of Mrs. Stephens when I listen to her. She never had a shortage of advice on those car rides either. I remember countless Friday nightS with Angela and I standing in front of Mrs. Stephens bathroom mirror putting on our makeup and fixing our hair. And she always had plenty of Oreos for us. The amount of pain I feel in my heart at the loss of this wonderful woman is difficult to put in to words. She was such an incredible mother to her kids, and wife to her husband, and she will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.

Miss Stephens was one of the most sweetest teachers I ever had at Martinsville. She excepted me for who I was and she loved me for me. She helped me when I was doing all of my work in school. When things got to tuff she helped me. When ever I seen her in the store she gave me a hug and told me she missed me. She is smiling on all of us. May the with all of the Stephens family. Much love to all of you and I hope you guys are doing well. God bless.
