Alfred Frank Franza

He was born on December 14,1927 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Angelina and Jeremiah Franza. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of seventy-three years, Gloria.

Fred and Gloria moved to Naples in 1990 from Long Island, New York where they had lived for over thirty years. He was a long time employee of Prudential Insurance Company.

Fred is survived by his three loving children, daughter Lorraine Orr of Fort Myers, FL; daughter Geri (Anthony) Connolly of Naples, FL; and son Fred (Nina) Franza, Jr. of Bohemia, NY; five grandchildren, James (Andrea) Orr, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL, Joseph (Kara) Franza of Islip, NY, Bryan (Abbie) Connolly of Naples, FL, Nina (Cristian) Murphy of Ronkonkoma, NY and Craig (Kaitlyn) Connolly of Naples, FL; six great-grandchildren, Joseph Michael Franza, Jr., Hallie Shea Franza, Isabella Gracelyn Orr, Henry William Murphy, Nina Gloria Murphy, and James Orr III. Fred is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Fred will be held, Friday, July 31, 2026 from 9:00 - 9:30 am at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Interment will be immediately following in Naples Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at Hodges Funeral Home.
