

Bobby was born in Monticello, Florida to Robert E. Lee Hunter and Eddie Glenn Henderson on November 6, 1942. In 1960, he graduated from Leon High School in Tallahassee, and served in the Florida National Guard from 1960 to 1965. He worked as a project manager for the City of Naples (1967 to 1991) and then for Bonita Springs Utilities (1992 to 2007).
Bobby is survived by his children, Deborah Collier, Cathrine Hunter, Jenny Holcomb, Bobby Hunter, Jr., and April Hunter. He is also survived by his siblings, Ronnie Hunter, Betty Cooksey, Patricia Hunter, and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Suzie Hunter, who passed away in September 2011.
Bobby’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Discovery Village, NCH and Avow Hospice for their superior care during his last illness.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 10am on Wednesday, September 2nd at Hodges Funeral Home, followed by graveside services (onsite) at 11:30am.
