Carlos was born in Cuba to Lucas and Florina Moya Lamadrid on August 10, 1935. He married Tessie Garcini in Havana, Cuba, on June 28, 1958. In 1961, Tessie and Carlos courageously fled the Cuban Communist Regime with their two young children to seek freedom in the United States. Before his retirement in 1997, Carlos had a successful career as a financial executive which took the family across the United States. Carlos will always be remembered for his passion for the outdoors, enjoying fly fishing and hunting but most importantly for his devotion to his family. An avid reader, he enjoyed a book with a fine cigar each night. A fervent believer in giving back, he spent his retirement years volunteering at the Guadalope Center, Immokalee, St Vincent De Paul St William Catholic Church Chapter and along with his late wife established the St Vincent de Paul Chapter at St Finbarr Catholic Church.
Carlos is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Tessie (November 5, 2025).
